1. What POIZ is — and what it is not

POIZ is a dance platform. Dancers build a profile, watch and post combos, follow training content, take part in challenges and competitions that can be scored automatically, earn XP and Coins, and message other members. Teachers, choreographers and studios can also run their business side through POIZ HQ.

POIZ is a technology platform, not a babysitter, studio, school, camp, chaperone or safety monitor. POIZ does not supervise your child's physical activity, does not verify the real-world identity of other users, and cannot prevent every interaction. Your involvement is the most important safety control.

2. What your child can and cannot do before you approve

Every account whose date of birth indicates the person is under 18 starts in a restricted state and stays there until an approved, electronically signed guardian consent is on file.

• Can: look around, read, and complete the safety onboarding steps.
• Cannot: post or upload video or photos.
• Cannot: send or receive direct messages.
• Cannot: take part in training activity, challenges or competitions.
• Cannot: have attempts analyzed or scored.
• Cannot: make payments or earn rewards.

3. How approval works

You receive a direct notice by email at the address given for you, with a one-time link to the consent form. Before you are asked to approve anything, you are shown the child's account name and the email address used to create it.

The form asks you to confirm the required statements and to sign electronically by typing your name. When you complete it, POIZ records the exact wording and version you were shown, a fingerprint of that wording, your signature, the time and the request history — and your valid signature activates the account straight away. There is no separate POIZ reviewer step.

Consent links expire and can be re-issued. POIZ limits how often consent emails can be sent, to protect you from misuse.

If you did not expect a consent request, do not sign it, and report it through the Support Center at /support.

4. What POIZ collects about your child

Only what the features they use require. In summary: account email and sign-in credentials; a private, self-declared date of birth and the resulting age and safety state; profile details such as display name, handle, avatar, bio and the city, region or country they choose to enter; the videos, photos, audio in their recordings, captions, comments and messages they create; their attempts, scores, rankings, XP and Coins; device, log and security data; support and moderation records; and, if a paid plan is purchased, subscription and transaction metadata handled with the payment processor.

POIZ also collects your name, email address, stated relationship and electronic signature to request and record your consent.

POIZ does not collect precise geolocation and does not use facial recognition. Automated video analysis assesses movement to produce a score; it is not used to identify who a person is.

5. What other people can see

Profile details and posted media can be seen by other POIZ members and, where a profile or post is public, by visitors. Under-18 accounts run with safer defaults, and profile and Talent Map visibility can be changed in settings.

Please talk with your child about the limits of privacy settings: once something is shared, other people may have already seen it, screen-recorded it or re-shared it, and POIZ cannot take back a copy that has left the platform.

The date of birth is private and is never shown on a profile or to other members.

6. The features that matter most to parents

Video and audio. Uploads can include your child's face, voice, home or studio, and the music playing. Ask them to check the background before posting.

Choreography and other people. Anyone else in the frame — including other children — needs their guardian's permission before being posted.

Competitions, rankings and rewards. Attempts can be scored automatically and appear in rankings. XP and Coins are in-product features with no stated cash value.

Automated analysis. Scoring runs only after consent is given in the app and can be wrong. It is not coaching, medical or safety advice.

Talent Map and location. Location is limited to the general area your child enters and is controlled by visibility settings. Never let a child publish an address or a class schedule.

Direct messages. Messaging is restricted for under-18 accounts and requires guardian consent. Review who your child is talking to.

Classes and POIZ HQ. If your child's studio uses POIZ HQ, the studio manages its own rosters, classes, communications and documents, and is responsible for its own handling of that information.

7. Your responsibilities as a guardian

• Confirm you are the parent or legal guardian and have the legal authority to consent for this child.
• Give truthful contact details and an accurate description of your relationship.
• Review the account, its settings and its content regularly.
• Supervise offline meetings, auditions, classes and travel. Never let a child meet another user alone.
• Supervise purchases and payment methods available to the child.
• Talk about safe sharing: no address, no school, no schedule, no private contact details.
• Do not help a child evade an age, consent, messaging or moderation control.
• Supervise physical activity and decide whether it is medically appropriate for your child.

8. Your rights

You may review the personal information POIZ holds about your child, ask for it to be corrected, ask POIZ to delete the account and its data, refuse to permit further collection or use, and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent returns the account to a restricted state.

Federal COPPA rights for children under 13. United States federal law gives parents of children under 13 specific rights: to be given notice of what is collected and how it is used, to give or refuse verifiable consent before covered collection, to review the information collected from their child, to have it deleted, and to refuse to permit further collection or use. POIZ honors these rights on request. POIZ does not claim here that its current signup flow satisfies every federal requirement; the legal standard controls, and any gap is tracked and addressed operationally.

California removal right. A registered user under 18 who is a California resident may request removal of content or information they posted. Removal may not be complete — for example where someone else re-shared it or the law requires POIZ to keep it.

Requests go through the Support Center at /support. POIZ will verify that a request comes from the guardian of record before acting.

9. Advertising and sponsorship

POIZ does not run targeted advertising to accounts under 18, and does not build advertising profiles of your child's behavior across other companies' sites or apps.

POIZ may show sponsored banners and brand placements. These are scheduled editorially by POIZ to a placement and a broad audience, not personalized to your child. If POIZ ever introduced targeted advertising, it would update this notice and the Privacy Policy and provide notice first.

10. Three separate guardian decisions

There are three different guardian decisions on POIZ, and one never stands in for another.

Consent for your child to use POIZ is not permission for POIZ to feature your child in advertising or promotional material, and it is not a physical-activity waiver. Your child cannot self-authorize the media release or the activity waiver, and a checkbox ticked by your child is never treated as your legal assent.

• 1. Account consent. The emailed guardian consent that lets your child use POIZ at all — posting, uploading, messaging, training, competing, payments and rewards. Explained in section 3 above.
• 2. Media & Social Reuse Release (optional, /media-release). A separate, specific written release giving POIZ permission to reuse your child's media, display name or handle, voice and likeness in POIZ promotional surfaces, official POIZ social accounts, newsletters, showcases and POIZ advertising. Only a parent or legal guardian can grant it for a child, and declining it does not limit your child's ordinary use of POIZ.
• 3. Dance Activity Waiver & Assumption of Risk (/activity-waiver). Separate guardian review and, where legally permitted, electronic assent acknowledging the physical risks — including serious injury, permanent disability, paralysis and death — before your child performs, records or submits a physical POIZ attempt or training session. A guardian cannot waive rights that the law does not allow to be waived, and this does not release gross negligence, recklessness, willful misconduct, fraud or a violation of law.

11. Payments and subscriptions

Paid plans are for the account holder or the responsible adult. If a minor's account has a paid plan, you are authorizing the recurring charge and are responsible for the payment method used. Subscriptions renew until canceled and can be canceled online from billing settings, as described in the Terms of Service.

12. Reporting a problem

Use available in-product report and block controls. For anything urgent — grooming, sexual content involving a minor, sextortion, threats, or intimate images shared without consent — report it through the Support Center at /support and mark it as a safety concern.

If your child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. POIZ preserves evidence and makes reports to authorities where required or permitted by law.

POIZ does not publish a support telephone number or a public email address. The Support Center is the verified way to reach the team.

13. What POIZ cannot promise

POIZ cannot verify the real-world identity, age, intentions or background of every user, cannot review every message, comment or upload before it is seen, and cannot prevent every harmful interaction. POIZ builds safety controls, enforces its guidelines and acts on reports — but guardian supervision remains essential.
